The Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board is a 13-member body chaired by the commissioner of the Department of Labor. The remaining 12 members are appointed by the governor to equally represent labor, management, agriculture and the safety and health profession. Meeting at least once each year, the board is empowered to promulgate occupational safety and health standards. Notices of all meetings are placed in newspapers throughout the state. All board meetings are open to the public.
The next regular meeting of the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board is tentatively scheduled at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. The meeting will most likely be held at the Galt House East, Fourth Street and River Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
